This is how long it takes the Apple Watch to boot up

Apple says Watch has an “all day” battery which lasts “up to 18 hours” of mixed use. To gain the most from the wearable, Apple has also instituted a “Power Reserve” that enables your Watch to head into battery-saving mode and shuts off app functionality.

Curious to see how long it takes for an Apple Watch to boot up after its battery has been depleted? Well, approximately 60 seconds. The video below was recorded at an Apple Store and shows the timing from reboot to active on this demo unit.

The Apple Watch is available now to pre-order, with a release April 24th. Those ordering the product today can expect to wait until as late as July to receive it.

Canadian pricing for Apple’s first wearable starts at $449 for the Sport version.
