A number of Canadian carriers have announced plans to release the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge. As with previous Samsung flagship smartphones, there will be no carrier exclusivity and most will bring these devices to their lineup on April 10th.
Here’s the running tab of the Canadian carriers that have confirmed the upcoming GS6 and GS6 edge release:
Bell – Pre-registration is now open
TELUS – Pre-orders start March 5th for the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge
Rogers – Confirmed to release both the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge
Virgin Mobile – Confirmed to release both the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge
Fido – Confirmed to release both the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge
WIND Mobile – Confirmed release of both the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge
Eastlink – Confirmed release of both the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge
MTS – Confirmed release of both the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge
SaskTel – Confirmed release of both the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge
Videotron – Pre-orders start March 2nd for the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge, offering free headphones
Update: Rogers and Fido are offing a free wireless charger when you reserve the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge through its online reservations system. Apparently this has a retail value of $59.99.
Update #2: For those interested in going the route of pre-ordering the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge through Future Shop or Best Buy can now do so. Both big box retailers are now accepting pre-orders for Bell, TELUS and Rogers with a $50 refundable deposit.
