Nexus 9 LTE now available on Google Play for $669 CAD

The WiFi Nexus 9 has been available since November 3rd, but its LTE equivalent, sporting 32GB of storage and a much higher price tag, is only now available, shipping December 19th. It is selling for $669 CAD, a $140 premium on the 32GB WiFi version.

The Nexus 9 is Google’s first HTC collaboration since the original Nexus One smartphone, and while it lacks the OEM’s distinctive visual flair it makes up for it in performance. Unfortunately, early units had some quality control issues, namely with backlight bleed and low travel distance on the volume and power keys. We’ve heard these issues have been largely resolved, and will need to be to justify people spending nearly $700 on a connected tablet.

Google also hasn’t made available any Nexus 9 accessories on its site yet, which is unfortunate considering people will want to protect their investment. Future Shop and Best Buy have the accessories available for pre-order, shipping January 31st.
