HTC Desire 620 leak reveals dual speakers, 64-bit Snapdragon 410 and 5MP front-facing camera

HTC just announced a couple of new ‘Desire’ smartphones in the Fall, but it looks like we might see another one before the year is out. This week, leaked photos and specifications of a device called the Desire 620 hit the internet.

HTC targeted photo enthusiasts with Desire 820 and Desire Eye but the Desire 620 seems a bit more geared towards price-conscious users that don’t want to compromise on the power, camera, or audio capabilities in their phone.

PhoneArena cites Bulgarian-language site Nixanbal in reporting that the Desire 620 will feature a 5-inch display, an 8MP camera in the back, a 5MP camera up front, and 8GB of storage. You can also see from the image above that the device will have dual front-facing speakers. Under the hood, you’re looking at a quad-core 1.2GHz processor with Adreno 306 GPU and 1GB of RAM. The presence of Adreno 306 graphics means we’re looking at the  64-bit Snapdragon 410.

HTC also used the Snapdragon 410 in the international version of the Desire 510. Sadly, the North American 510 didn’t get the 64-bit chip. Hopefully that won’t be he case with the Desire 620. We’re already crossing our fingers that this device makes it to Canada. It would be palate cleanser after the Desire 510.
