Google’s black Nexus 5 is back in stock for Canadians following a brief period of unavailability.
After the announcement of the Nexus 6, it became apparent that Google planned to continue selling the original Nexus 5 alongside the Nexus 6. However, the black version quickly became unavailable and reader Milosh reported receiving confirmation from Google that whatever was available in the store was final inventory because production of the Nexus 5 had ended.
MobileSyrup has confirmed with Google that the Nexus 5 will still be available alongside the Nexus 6 via the Google Play Store and select select retailers. Not only that, but as of this morning, the black version is back in stock. Though the white and red models are out of stock, the black model is available in both 16GB and 32GB capacities, and Google Play shows orders leaving the warehouse in 1-2 days.
