Skype for Windows Phone adds location sharing, ability to silence notifications for individual conversations

Microsoft’s Skype team has announced that the Skype for Windows Phone application now allows you to share your location with contacts. Available for both Windows Phone 8 and Windows Phone 8.1, this new feature could be useful if you’re trying to coordinate with people on the go or if you happen to get yourself lost and need help figuring out where you’re supposed to be a meeting a friend.

Skype 2.22 for Windows Phone also brings the ability to save photos and (perhaps most importantly), the ability to turn off notifications for individual conversations. Very handy if you’ve got a talkative co-worker or if you’re part of multiple group chats and don’t want notifications on every single message that gets sent.
