Android Device Manager now lets you disable your stolen phone from a friend’s

Android Device Manager has heretofore been an excellent way to manage your Android device from another handset, tablet or laptop in your possession.

But what happens if, say, you’re at a restaurant and your phone gets stolen? You’re unlikely to have another one lying around waiting to pick up the slack. That’s where this Android Device Manager update comes in handy. With version 1.2, you can now log in as a guest on another Android device, locating your stolen smartphone and, in a worst case scenario, wipe it clean before someone gains access to it.

With hundreds of thousands of smartphones stolen in Canada every year, features like this may be the difference between recovering that precious Nexus, Galaxy or special One.
