The Moto X+1 is one of the upcoming devices Motorola is planning to release. This was rumoured in the past, but for some odd reason Motorola has posted this go-to-market name on MotoMaker in the States.

The specific details as to how it’ll be different to the first-gen Moto X is unclear, but we’ll probably see a slight boost in processor and camera. In addition, while Moto Maker isn’t available in Canada yet, the Moto X+1 will have 25 backplate options from 5 categories: Cool, Neutral, Warm, Wood and Leather.

Motorola is preparing to unveil some new products on May 13th that are “Made to last. Priced for all.”

Still waiting for Motomaker for the X to come to Canada….guess that it’s a non-starter now.

      We are all waiting.

    Canada Not getting motomaker!

What’s up with all these ‘One’ naming convention? A new trend? HTC One, HTC One X, HTC One X+, Oneplus One, Moto X Plus One..

    • J. W.

One name to rule them all…

I wonder if it’s real leather or Samsung leather…..

I believe you mean Samsung bandaid…

I never will understand why they aren’t calling it X2 instead, unless this phone will just be a small improvement compared to the X but still.. X+1 sounds so stupid. X1 would be better anyways.

Maybe it might be confused with the droid X2, which was an old and ancient phone back then.

Like you said, this is probably going to be a small improvement on the X. Maybe an updated processor and a better camera? That’s why they might have gone for “X+1″ instead of X2..

I’m assuming this phone would be developed while owned by google not by Lenovo. so I can see a similar (but improved) device. Hopefully they work on that camera. Motorola is notorious with their bad cameras.

I agree with the rest about the naming. not the greatest out there.
