Google is celebrating the second birthday of its Play Store content portal with a number of free and discounted apps, games, movies and books.

While the deals are not groundbreaking, there are a number of popular titles like Badland and Fifa 14, as well as newer titles like QuizUp and Royal Revolt 2, on offer.

Other discounts include the popular recipe ebook, Tartine, and movies like Amazing Spider-Man, World War Z and The Dark Knight Rises.

Many of the free titles have discounted in-app purchases, too, which will appeal to players of titles like The Sims FreePlay and others showcased in the promo.

When they’re free, you REALLY can’t complain.

All those EA apps are normally free. They are just freemium.

The games were always free. They now have deals on in application purchases.

The selection they show on their website isn’t that great but it is free.
