While much of the day was consumed by other tablet news, namely Nokia’s new Lumia 2520 and Apple’s new iPads, Microsoft’s next generation of Surface tablets went on sale in Canada.
The Surface 2 and Surface 2 Pro can be purchased from Microsoft retail stores, online, or at select big box locations. As for prices of the 10.6-inch Windows RT 8.1 slates, the Surface 2 starts at $449 outright, and the Surface Pro 2 begins at $899 (CDN). In addition, for those wanting to add a keyboard case to the mix can buy the backlit Touch Cover 2 ($119.99) and Type Cover 2 ($129.99).
