iOS 7 Beta 3 seeded to developers

Apple has seeded its third iOS 7 beta to developers, many of whom have been eagerly awaiting what is likely to be the first relatively stable release of the new mobile operating system.

iOS 7 beta 1 was released to developers on June 10th to much praise and more than a bit of consternation. Not only did it introduce an entirely new look to the well-worn skeumorphism of previous iterations, but it took steps to distance itself from the legacy that Apple had so careful hewn over the past six years. The flat design spoke more to the changes in user tastes than any added features, many of which were long overdue. Alterations to the way folders work, as well as the addition of AirDrop, a new notification centre and an overhauled camera app are some of many upgrades to iOS 7.

If you’re a developer, hit up Settings/General/Software Update on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch and check out what’s new.
