Overseas reports are indicating that Samsung has shipped a total of 20 million Galaxy S4 devices to their global partners. Note that this number is not total sales to customers, but specifically to carriers and retailers around the world. Apparently, J.K. Shin, Samsung’s CEO, confirmed this figure to reporters in Korea and achieved this milestone within 2-months (it took the Galaxy SIII 100 days to reach 20 million).

Most Canadian carriers have the Galaxy S4 in their linep: Rogers, Bell, TELUS, Fido, Virgin, PC Mobile, Koodo, WIND, Mobilicity, Videotron, SaskTel, Eastlink and MTS.

if we learnt anything from blackberry is shipments don’t mean s**t

Think I’ll wait for the sales number.

Might just be my memory going bad but I remember a lot more buzz around the S3 last year than the S4 this year.

It doesn’t help that they look almost identical so I’m not really sure what people are using haha.

You must be blind if you honestly think that that ugly pos brick S3 looks anything like the sleek looking S4. Sure they might have a similar back,, but that’s about it really. Rest is completely different. A 7 year old could figure out the difference.

It’s not as obvious as you claim. S4’s don’t stand out in a crowd of S3’s, you actually might need to be older than 7 to tell that the s4 is newer and twice the price.

Sure they might need to be older than 7 “to tell that the s4 is newer and twice the price”; however, that’s not that i said.

I said that a 7 year old could tell them apart fairly easily. Regardless of their knowledge or lack thereof of electronics.

When you replied to alphs22 you suggested his visual identification abilities were less than that of a 7 year old. Doesn’t matter if you’re 7 or 70 the s3 and s4 look very similar, except to you of course.

      Really?

Obviously side by side, it’s easy to see which one is the S3 and the S4. No s*** sherlock.

Considering most people have cases on their smartphones, you would be able to quickly differentiate whether they’re holding an S3 or an S4 from a distance?

      Take your BS elsewhere.

Oh so we’re judging the appearance of a phone on how it looks from afar? Don’t be an i***t.

My S2 with a case fooled a lot of people into thinking that it was an iPhone (God knows how). Does that mean that it’s an unoriginal design too?

Once again. Don’t be an i***t.

I said they look almost identical so it was hard for me to judge the popularity of the S4 vs the S3.

Quit your nerd raging and go outside sometime.

The S3 does look similar to the S4 no matter how you cut it. No need to get your panties in a bunch.

    • Nadefrenzy

Heh it’s funny cuz I wrote that post when I was actually outside.

On a more relevant note, the s4 does not look identical nor “almost identical” to the s3. Sure it might be similar but that’s about it. You should stop riding the sheep bandwagon and try thinking objectively for a change.
