TELUS customers reporting LTE is live in Georgetown

TELUS’ LTE network currently reaches 24 million Canadians, which is approximately 70% of the population. Georgetown, Ontario has always been missing, actually TELUS’ current coverage map circles right around this area. According to a few tips we received it seems that some lucky Canadians have managed to grab hold of their LTE network. Nothing is showing online, but the speeds are impressive (pic above).

Of course, this could also mean that TELUS is simply testing LTE in the area, but hopefully they’ll update their map to show the full coverage.

(Thanks Mark!)

how about LTE in Sydney, NS?

  • Super_Deluxe

Lol it’s sad that that speed is better than my Internet connection with 20mbp/3mbp -_-

Try living in southern Manitoba, our dsl speed is 6-7 mbps. Yup, that’s it.

They give you a high speed because they know you have a ridiculous data limit otherwise you would pay more for more speed and less for less speed.

I have no cap with MTS, $60 including unlimited data is a decent deal. And soon I’ll be upgrading to 50/5 with unlimited data for $75. Way better than whatever shaw offers here that’s for sure.

I thought you were with TELUS, but yeah MTS and SaskTel plans are way better than what you can get with the big 3.

Hey that person is like on my street there. Almost on my house! I noticed LTE came live some time in the last couple weeks too. I “only” got 36 down 14 up on my test though 🙂

Nice to see someone else from Georgetown following this site, let alone from our neighbourhood 🙂

      My sentiments exactly 🙂
