Beautiful British Columbia will soon be home to a beautiful new area code. “In response to the increasing demand for new phone numbers,” mainly wireless devices, a new 236 area code will go live in the province on June 1st. The CRTC stated that 236 will join 604, 778 and 250 to “ensure B.C. residents and businesses continue to have enough phone numbers.” For now, there’s still a “a sufficient supply” of the current area codes.
