SkypeBeta
Skype for Windows Phone 8 has received an update today. Now at version 2.4 this popular video calling app update brings 720p HD calls to “higher-end devices,” such as the Nokia Lumia 920, HTC 8X and Samsung Ativ S. Microsoft’s Skype notes that lower end Windows Phone 8 devices will only have low-quality VGA video. In addition, users will now have the option to switch between the front and back cameras and in either landscape or portait mode. Finally, People Hub integration has been enabled for those running the Windows Phone 8 “Portico” update.
