WhatsApp recently found themselves in trouble with both the Dutch Data Protection Authority and the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada(OPC) over privacy issues where users, apart from iOS, were not given the choice to use the app without granting the company access to their address book. In addition to this frustration a small firestorm was created when WhatsApp decided not to create a compatible app for BlackBerry 10 – sure there’s BBM and Kik, but WhatsApp is an incredibly popular messaging app. Good news arrived over the weekend as Neeraj Arora of WhatsApp declared on Twitter that a native BB10 app will be available in March.
