YouTube for Android has been updated to version 4.3.9, and though it’s a minor bump, it introduces some cool new features.

First is the integration of Google+ into YouTube, which seems to be the direction Google is going with much of its product line. Next, and perhaps most importantly, is the ability to control TV playback from the notification bar. This expands the app’s appeal as a leanback controller for the YouTube ecosystem, something else Google has been pushing fairly hard as it attempts to make its portal about more than just cat videos.
