SaskTel’s first Windows Phone 8 device has finally arrived. The Samsung ATIV S was “coming soon” for the past couple months but is now ready to get a hold of and take on SaskTel’s new LTE network speeds. The ATIV S has a similar design to the widely popular Galaxy S III, but has a brushed aluminum casing. You can have a read over our ATIV S review here — SaskTel has priced the 4.8-inch WP8 device the same as the other carriers at $129.99 on a 3-year and rises to $599.99 outright.

Faux aluminum casing. But I doesn’t feel like “cheap plastic”… I’m loving mine. Battery life is fantastic!

Agreed, battery life is incredible; lasting 1.5days is common. Streaming music all day at work and i’m still over 50% at the end of the work day 7:30-5:00.

    Best looking Windows 8 Phone after Lumias 920, 810, 820, 822, 620, HTCs 8X & 8S, and Huawei Ascend W1.

Played around with this phone a bit. Buttery smooth. Smoother then iphone and my Android. Wouldn’t trade yet though. Sask-tel LTE is sick. 20-25 mbps upload and download speed. Does need to expand outside city though.

I will add to the positive comments. Had it since Rogers released and I find it a great all around device. Had to return my 920 due to build issues and the Ativ has been essentially flawless.
