HTC just sent us an invite to a press event in New York City on February 19th. This could be the official announcement of the highly rumoured HTC M7 Android device. No other details on what to expect, but everything will kick off at 10:00am.

As for specifics of the M7 – currently a code name – this is expected to have an LTE-enabled Android running Jelly Bean, 4.7-inch HD display, 13MP camera, 2MP front-facing camera, 1.7Ghz quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 16-64GB of internal storage, 2300mAh battery and Beats Audio.

We’ll have more info in 3 weeks…

      Yeah.. you and 17 others in the world.

    • kneegrow

      lmao windows potato

  • Bill Murray

    Ugghh… Another giant android phone

    • Terry

      4.7″ isn’t that giant. It’s actually a comfortable size for one hand operation (depending on hand size).

    • Brad F, Brad F(anboy), jack

      @Bill Murray
      It depends on what you’re use to holding when you pee.

    • kneegrow

      u must have tiny lil bxtch hands

    • EvanK

      @Terry

      I’m partial to 5″ personally, it’s a good happy medium between phone and phablet. It’s not so big that it looks absolutely ridiculous whenever you pull it out of your pocket, but it still has enough real estate that watching videos or browsing the web isn’t too strenuous on the eyes.

      @Brad F, Brad F(anboy), jack

      If that was true, then I’d be carrying around a tablet with me all day ;)

    • Brad F, Brad F(anboy), jack

      @IYKWIM

      Gotta look at all those tablet users in a different way now.

  • Tom Riddell

    This phone going cost a ton
    unless go on 3 year contact NO THANKS

    I’ll stick with my old Nexus S .

  • Zaafir Siddiqui

    I love HTC but I have beats headphones and the mic/Music control doesn’t work with HTC phones even though beats is integrated -_-

    • Brad F, Brad F(anboy), jack

      That’s too bad. Good to know and thanks for sharing. Sadly, only Apple devices can integrate hardware and software in its purest form.

    • Anonymous One

      If you can look around online and find the HTC cable than the controls will work with both your HTC device and your beats. You should start seeing the HTC cable around more as Beats is launching more beats that have the HTC cable in them not just the one that works for Apple. You can always contact Beats Audio and see where you can buy one. I know you can get them!

  • Kid.Canada

    Sense 5 as well and I’m all over it like syrup on pancakes!

  • Miknitro

    Nice phone, but it’s it enough?

  • as s pimples

    Ga rbage. Doesn’t offer anything consumers want.

  • monsterduc1000

    Seriously, why can’t HTC just stick to one “flagship” phone a year and keep it updated as soon as possible. One X, One X+, Droid DNA and now this all in the span of a year. If they did one monster phone with all ( or most) that people ask for ( kinda like Samsung and their S3), maybe they wouldn’t be in so much trouble. Really, how much did it cost to R&D four flagship phones in the span of a year?

    • i have aids :(

      Agreed.

  • Tomatoes11

    Heads up to all those considering this phone. HTC quality control is terrible and you would be giving Apple money if you purchase this.

    No thanks HTC. They should name this the HTC Mgonnafail

  • Lostspaceman

    I really want to like HTC, but Samsung generally has them beat. One more year on my Telus contract for my iPhone 4… Can’t wait to see what the next iPhone and Samsung Galaxy X bring! Let the battle for my money begin…

  • KL

    Sounds like a sweet phone, I definitely prefer HTC to Samsung for Droids.

    Samsung definitively needs to step it up in the quality of materials department.

  • Miguel

    No phone competes with this. People will just hate it for the sake of hating.

  • hebdo27

    No sure why people are hating HTC quality? I have an HTC ONE X and love it, quality quality quality. I actually sold my S3 and got this phone instead. IPS LCD screens beats the bejesus out of the AMOLED screens.

  • Miguel

    ^^ Agreed. My One X is such an amazing device.
