RIM is gearing up for their big BlackBerry 10 show on January 30th. Until then, business continues. Today they’ve started their annual “JANUBERRY” contest and although there’s no sign of any BB10 goodness in the winnings, it’s always good to enter and get a piece of history. In order to be part of the experience you’ll have to follow BlackBerry on Twitter and respond with an answer to their “JanuBerry” question.

According to the terms and conditions the contest period is only a couple days in length, which has to be an error (hopefully). As for the prizes: Seven 3G PlayBooks, BlackBerry Music Gateway Devices, BlackBerry Headsets, a few BlackBerry BBM pins and BBMing Gloves. Perhaps we’ll see some BB10 love closer to the launch.

I am continuously disappointed that this site represents Canadian media in mobile news. The quality of writing is absolutely horrendous. “Get a piece of history”? Seriously? If this were an American site, it would have died off a long time ago from its inability to compete with the numerous high quality tech sites out there. It speaks tremendously sad volumes that this is the extent of mobile news that is provided in Canada.

Alright so the spelling/grammar might not always be 100% but how does that equate to not having reliable news? People like frustrate me, it’s not as though the what they write about has no quality. Maybe you should put your name in to sit at a desk and edit their work if you’re so disappointed and getting so worked up about it.

its a site about cellphones not the new york times, get a life buddy

Here’s a friendly reminder. The question mark needs to be inside the quotes.

    • Nothin But RIM

I’d venture to disagree here. I check multiple sites and often (very often) Mobile Syrup has the most breaking news. Many of the american sites take way too long to report on things that MS has already reported on. There will always be things that people don’t classify as news but when it does come to news MS is one of my most trusted sites.

You should start your own site then. Pay for it, maintain it, write all the articles yourself…. See how that goes.

The BlackBerry Music Gateway’s are awesome. Works with most Bluetooth devices not just BB’s. I need a second one for the car.
