CES 2013 is fast approaching and we’ll bring you coverage from a Canadian perspective. This year I think there’ll be less mobile phone coverage, still tablets, but some manufacturers will wait to unveil their flagship handsets until Mobile World Congress in February, or simply hold stand alone events like RIM on January 30th, or Samsung for the Galaxy S IV and Note III.

However, LG will be showing off a few new Android handsets this year. No word yet what the brand names will be, probably continue down the Optimus path. Details are sparse, but there will be a 4.7-inch smartphone that reportedly has an edge-to-edge display with a 1mm bezel – perhaps it might look like the Optimus G or the Nexus 4. In addition, LG is entering the phablet space with a 5.5-inch device that has a full HD display and a 403ppi. Finally, LG will market a 7-inch device (1920×1200 resolution and 324ppi) and take on other tablets such as the iPad mini and the Nexus 7.

We’ll bring you hands-on of each of these when they are officially announced.

    Hm 1mm of bezel around the screen? What about a case? That covers part of the screen? Does the Optimus g sells good? Bought my galaxy awhile ago and still enough gor the next year. Lg is not the phone to get! Samsung does a good job with updates and lg?

    • Android is becoming a joke.

      Android = Junk

    LG needs to fix nexus 4 issues first. their credibility is not good right now, unfortunately it will affect their sales down the road

    That f**ng sucks, this means, new 4.7″, 5.5″, and 7″ glass plates on the back side of those stupid devices for your morons who buy them to break. LG, get your head out of your asses, breath fresh air, and think for a second or two. Glass Back Bad Idea!

  • ActivesiN

    Im happy with my Neuxs 4, so LG is fine by me!

  • Eugene

    Nexus 4 is good coz it is google ! Lg Optimus g is not so good coz it is lg

  • Hardened

    Eugene, Google only designed the software of the Nexus 4 … some guidance with the HW design but its still LG making the device from source materials to the finished product. Don’t kid yourself with blind “google” fanboyism.
