Android 4.2.1 factory images arrive for most Nexus devices

If you get your Nexus device into a lick of trouble and want to reset it to factory settings, Google has updated its images to the latest version of its mobile OS, Android 4.2.1. Coming a week or so after Android 4.2 was released to AOSP, the factory images don’t change much other than re-adding December to the People app.

While the Nexus 10 is stuck on Android 4.2 for now (there was a problem with the original image), you can download images for the Nexus 4, Nexus 7  and yakju/takju Galaxy Nexus.

Have it your way over at Google Developers.

On my N7 I have a JOP40C and the one that is out it’s the JOP40D.what is the difference?

It fixes bugs. There was a big where if you had dates relating to the people app December wouldn’t show up. I also had a bluetooth bug were it wouldn’t connect and when you tried to turn it off it would say “turning off bluetooth” and you cannot toggle it again until u restart.

It might not be out officially for the Nexus S, but I can’t wait for the Custom Rommers to get it ported to my “ancient” phone =D
