Grand Theft Auto: Vice City is approaching its tenth anniversary, and to honour that landmark Rockstar Games is unleashing the title on Android and iOS devices early next month.

The 80’s-themed death-fest has been carefully re-worked to support touchscreen-based devices, and will be available on many newer Android devices including the Galaxy Nexus, HTC One X,Galaxy S III and Nexus 4. The list of Android devices covered is quite extensive, and includes even aging phones like the Nexus S and Xperia Play.

The game has higher-resolution character models and improved lighting compared to the original, and there will be some mobile-only features available at launch. We’re really excited to see how the game looks and runs on the Nexus 10 tablet, too.

GTA: Vice City 10th Anniversary Edition will run $4.99 for both platforms and will be out on December 6th. See the list of compatible devices after the break.

I can’t believe not too long ago (ok, maybe I’m just old) I could play these games on my PC and they could potentially still lag at times. Now we have these on our cellulars. Ladies and gents, gotta love technology! Too bad I don’t have the time to do another run of the game on a phone 🙂

    Why NO WP8?

    • Notamerican

  • John

This title is available only in U.S ftw!

    • OhNO

      Only in the U.S. ?!?! I’m a sad panda….

  • Harris

LOL Gotta love how sad and pathetic Android’s fragmentation is…

Just look at that, there is actually a list of ‘compatible’ devices…

Oh you’re going to thumbs down the truth? How about this one. I was at BestBuy today and saw the Galaxy S3 LAG on its HOME SCREEN. Stupid Consumers, stay stupid.

Sara Posted on Hi, I don’t think it’s a total throw away; looking at the oraiingl one from Antro, it looks like their main architectural element was a unified white base of beads, with some accents of colour and then the flashy rim that was holding all of the candle bulbs. If you rejigg your design so that there is one main colour forming the shape of your lamp and then embelish the top and the bottom it would come off a lot better. Maybe try a string of twinkle lights wrapped in tulle glued around the bottom of the lamp instead of a single bare bulb?

Hope they have it for a 99c Christmas sale.

If they give us GTA:SA as well…
