Motorola adds the Rogers RAZR HD LTE to their “Bootloader Unlock Program”

When Motorola kicked off their “Bootloader Unlock Program” last year they stated that “additional devices will be added progressively.” Now, over a year later, the Rogers RAZR HD LTE has been added to the list. This is certainly great news for those looking to pick up this device when Rogers officially releases the device in the coming week. If you’re interested in unlocking the bootloader, the same conditions apply. Moto says that “Unlocking your bootloader is not for the faint of heart,” and that “You have only yourself to blame” and that “your device is no longer covered by the Motorola warranty.”

The RAZR HD LTE is the smallest phone with a HD screen. An unlocked bootloader is one more reason to buy one. Good job Moto.

“Claudiu”, I totally agree! I watched some youtube videos. The phone looks SOLID. Love that it has a metal bezel and the entire back is made of Kevlar. I can’t wait until the RAZR HD LTE is released! HELLO MOTO. 🙂

Anyone know which clock application is being used in that picture?

    • Michael

That’s part of the Moto UI.

If Phone companies can stop locking the bootloader in their phones like the rest of the competition; why can’t CANADIAN operators offer a TWO YEAR contracts Max???

Your one trick pony thing is getting a little tired.

the clock can be found in one more clock widget free

I will never go Moto again after two of them died on me, but it’s good you can unlock the bootloader so it’s easier to put on some custom roms as you won’t get an update from Moto.

I wanted to get either this phone or the Razr Maxx but since it’s with Rogers out of all companies I might have to see which provider gets the Razr Maxx if it doesnt come up here then I can always go to Pacific Mall and buy an unlocked International version of the Razr Maxx.

It’s been a while since I had or looked at a Moto phone. I had the Motorola Cliq when it came out and if you owned that phone you got so pissed at the late updates rolling out and cancelling at the last second.

Still overall either phone i’m going to get but just not with Rogers. When well companies listen that nobody want 3 year contracts anymore.
