Nokia Windows Phone 8 prototype surfaces online

It’s rumoured that Nokia will be the first manufacturer to release a Windows Phone 8 powered device this year, beating out many of their competitors with a 1-month exclusivity. The design will most likely follow the trend of other recent devices, such as the Lumia 800 and 900. If you like dreaming of what might come down the pipe then a couple pictures of what’s said to be a prototype Nokia device has surfaced online. THe display is curved and looks to be running WP8, or possibly just Windows Phone 7.8. WPDang captured the images from Chinese site Sina, which have since been removed, and shows a yellow handset with the label “proto.nokia.com” on it.

Nokia is expected to make an WP8 handset announcement at Nokia World 2012 on September 5th. One more pic below…
