Update: Winner announced in our Bell Samsung Galaxy S III Olympic Prize pack contest!

Update: We’ve chosen a winner, it’s Brett Ardiel who posted this video on YouTube.

The London 2012 Olympics are happening now and Canada currently has 11 medals. To celebrate these games we’ve teamed up with Bell (who’s premier national partner of Team Canada) to giveaway a Galaxy S III Olympic Prize Pack. Included in this bonanza is a 16GB GS III in Pebble Blue, an official Team Canada Olympic hat and t-shirt, plus an official Team Canada jacket.

This contest is set up a bit differently than what we usually do. In order to win this prize you’ll have to download Bell’s “Make It Epic” app. We’ve mentioned the app before and it basically turns your videos into a “Chariots of Fire” theme with slow motion and music. The app can be downloaded here via iTunes or here from Google Play.

Once you’ve downloaded the app make sure you come back and post a comment below, with a valid email address. This is the easiest way we can verify and contact the winner. If you want you can also post a link to your video for others to see. This contest closes Sunday, August 12th.

    Man, I wish I had this app a few years ago. I used to do this manually with my friends at work. By that I mean I would video something with Chariots of Fire playing, and just move everything in slow motion. Not super efficient, but a good way to waste an afternoon.

    What a disappointing 4x100m! We have a world class team who made a very small mistake. That the Olympic officials announced Canada as the bronze medallists before investigating should not be considered proper protocol.

    Nonetheless, it is a momentous achievement to even be competing at the Olympic games. Congratulations to all athletes, Canadian and international. You have made the Olympics something that is truly special and aspirational. Best of luck in future endeavours.
