Aviary, one of the best photo editing SDKs for mobile devices, has announced a standalone app for iOS and Android to go along with its in-app integration.
The product was already available for Android but had to be opened in a sharing menu — there was no app icon at all. The update brings a refreshed look with a nice coverflow-like image viewer as well as purchasable effects as an in-app purchase.
Newly available for iPhone, too, Aviary stands up to existing image editing apps quite well, with an excellent Auto Enhance feature that has rarely steered me wrong. A customizable toolbar also allows you to put your most-used features where you want them.
