Rumour: Google to release 5 Nexus devices on November 5th (Android’s 5th Birthday)

Rumours of Google’s next iteration of the Nexus has been in full swing for months. Various manufacturers have been mentioned of who would successfully succeed HTC and Samsung, potentially LG, Sony or Motorola. Last week the rumours heightened as there’s speculation that Google will open the Nexus launch up to several manufacturers and multiple Nexus devices, plus possibly sell these devices through the Play Store by the American Thanksgiving (November 22nd).

Today, adding to the growing list of rumours, is a celebratory kick-off to Google’s 5 year Android anniversary. According to a reliable source over at TalkAndroid Google plans on releasing 5 Nexus devices from 5 manufacturers on November 5th – this is the date Android turn 5. Earlier rumours also had the next Nexus running Android OS 5.0 Jelly Bean.

No other details are given, but seems like a good plan. Nothing has been confirmed by Google, so it’s all speculation until something gets officially announced. Google I/O is happening on June 27th and we’ll probably see all the details unfold then.
