Cisco’s Connect Express app launched at the beginning of April for Android, but there was an unexplained delay in bringing it to the iPhone.
To recap, Connect Express allows you to connect to any of the newest-generation Linksys routers over your home WiFi connection to manage devices, update firmwares and enable or disable guest access. We took a look at the app last month and found it to be a great companion app to the improved user interface in the E4200 v2 router and its E-Series and X-Series kin.
Cisco will also release its Cloud Connect app in June that will allows users to connect remotely to their routers from anywhere in the world using a secure connection, allowing them to troubleshoot problems for friends and family from the comfort of their own homes.
