Angry Birds Space has become Rovio’s most popular game ever with over 50 million downloads since its release last month. To recap, it was downloaded 10 million times in its first three days, and 20 million times in its first week. In just over a month the Rovio creation has become, in their words, “the fastest growing mobile game yet” and something of a sensation. Considering Angry Birds is already the most popular mobile franchise ever, the Space race is even more impressive.
The app is available for multiple platforms, including iOS, Android, OS X, Windows and BlackBerry PlayBook. It has not yet come to Windows Phone, but Rovio hasn’t ruled it out.
