Rogers to stream all 162 Blue Jays games via the Rogers Live Mobile app

Rogers Communications owns a bunch of stuff: magazines, radio stations, wireless and cable business, real estate, and a bunch of sports teams. Recently they’ve started to promote their mobile TV offering by informing customers that they can watch live sports on the go via Sportsnet. First it was the Raptors, then the Maple Leafs, and now the Toronto Blue Jays.

The season opener is happening on Thursday, April 5th against the Indians (this is where the Jays will also show off their new uniforms) and if you can’t get to Cleveland you’ll be able to stream the game live on your phone or tablet. Actually, all 162 games will be available via their Rogers Live Mobile app.

Rogers stated in their press release that “Rogers Cable customers in ON, NB, NFLD who subscribe to Sportsnet and Sportsnet ONE can see all the action on RogersAnyplaceTV.com. Rogers Wireless customers across the country will see every pitch when they subscribe to the Rogers Live Mobile app, available for mobile devices through the Apple App Store, Google Play and Blackberry App World. The app’s subscription is $5/month for 5 hours of data and also offers additional TV programming”.

What do you think…. will the Jays dominate this year? Bring back the glory days of the 1990’s and be World Series champions?
