Rogers and Bell HTC Raider “is on the list” to receive Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade

Good news for those who have the LTE-enabled HTC Raider from either Rogers or Bell. Today HTC has announced plans to officially upgrade the powerhouse device to Android OS 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, unfortunately there’s no specific timeline as to when. On their Facebook page HTC noted that “the HTC Raider is on the list to receive ICS for customers of Rogers and Bell in Canada. Stay tuned for more news on Ice Cream Sandwich releases in the coming weeks.”

  1. Rogers and Bell HTC Raider “is on the list” to receive Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade, just wait 4 to 5 months until your device is completly outdated than you will buy something else.

  2. Any news on the EVO 3D yet?
Or will Rogers never release anything for it?

    • ^ It was announced by HTC but there has been no announcement if Rogers will approve it and push it to the handsets.

  4. Idk if you’d call it useless Josh. I mean, I found it usefull. Yes it’s frustrating and seems asenine to write an article on a software upgrade that was announced but no release date, but still, now we know.

  11. Still waiting for my EVO 3D, also curious if the ICS port will ship with Sense 4.0 or 3.5…

Also, the Raider was outdated when it was released, it’s using the exact same chipset as the (at time of release) 9 month old EVO with a LTE chip piggybacked onto it. *shrug*
