Infographic: Rogers survey reveals that “women are better communicators”

Rogers has come forth with some new survey stats and put it into well designed infographic. It’s an ongoing series that’s part of something called the “Rogers Innovation Report” – this time around they’ve asked “1,403 randomly selected adult Canadians” who own a smartphone or tablet how they use technology to manage their personal relationships. We first saw a glimpse of these stats last week, but now the numbers dig deeper. The infographic says that women are overall better communicators than men, both genders get upset when a text is not responded to within 1-hour, 90% of young adults (18-24) connect via text message, and a surprisingly 45% use video calling… check out the full image after the break.

Robert Switzman, Rogers Senior Director, Convergence says that “There’s no question that technology is transforming our lives. Canadians tell us that with all the communication options that technology now provides, it’s making their lives easier and relationships better. From making plans for dinner to checking in with the kids, staying connected to their loved ones is a top priority for Canadians.”

  4. A girl texted me “Good morning!”

I didn’t read nor reply right away because I was working.

10 mins after that another text came in, “I said good morning!”

I still didn’t read or reply cuzza work.

15 mins after that text, “Why are you ignoring me!?”

Finally, after 20 mins since the first text, I got to my phone and saw the messages. So I immediately called her to explain why I wasn’t able to text back. Yeesh.

  7. The title should be “Women are more attached to their devices”. Just because they text more or need to be connected all the time, doesn’t make them better communicators. I don’t think anybody needed a study to say women talk more. But talking more or communicating more, doesn’t necessarily mean better communicators.

  9. Rogers is great at annoying their customers with surveys or telemarketing calls everyday, and their known at selling your cellphone number to other telemarketing companies that will annoy you as well. Last year I was a rogers customer, but after signing a 3 year contract with them I began receiving survey and telemarketing calls from rogers everysday, sometimes 4-5 calls per day. I grew annoyed with these calls, I had switched to a different cellphone company and canceled my contract with rogers, and I made a complaint with CCTS and CRTC. CCTS told Rogers to credit my account to a $0 balance, and told them to pay a resatution fee of $3,000 for the huge inconvience rogers had caused. And the CRTC had fined Rogers over $100,000 for unauthorized Telemarketing and survey calls. NA dI heard that Bell mobility were hit with a huge fine by CRTC a few months back as well. These cellphone compnies have no right to harass their customers with unauthorized telemarketing and survey calls. If your getting these calls you have the right to cancel your contract and make a complaint with CCTS And CRTC and your cellphone company will be forced to credit your account balance to a $0 balance and pay you a resatution fee under the rules of CCTS.

    • The only way to gain any insight to how rogers is doing is to do survey’s. Did you even do one? maybe they would stop calling you ever think of that! All companies may have done it but really telemarketers just punch in to there systems and it just generates random numbers. You should have answered there call becuase it does seem you have alot of time on your hands. CRTC does nothing! Give up

      thanks.
