Sony is preparing to unleash a slew of new devices. We know that the Xperia S will be coming to Canada this quarter, but unsure about the other 10 handsets that they’re apparently planning. A few weeks ago an internal doc surfaced that showed their 2012 roadmap, this listed 11 new smartphones in 2012 with names such as Nypon, Pepper, ST21i Tapioca and Kumquat, Hayabusa and Mint. It’s now known, but unconfirmed by Sony, that when the Kumquat launches it could be called Xperia U. Now, once again thanks to Postel, the Indonesian equivalent of the FCC, for listing the LT22i “Nypon” as the Xperia P in their database. Most likely this device and many others will officially be unveiled at Mobile World Congress in February. As for specs of the Xperia P, this is rumoured to have a similar design to the Xperia S, but have a 4-inch qHD display 1GHz dual-core processor and an 8 megapixel camera.
