Fido will be releasing the “impossibly thin” Motorola RAZR on January 10th. This is an Android-powered device that currently runs OS 2.3, but Motorola has promised to bring the OS 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade sometime early 2012. The 3-year term has been confirmed to be $100, now according to this internal screenshot the no-contract price is set at $525. If true, it’s $125 difference to what parent-company Rogers is selling it for at $649.99. In addition, stores have started to receive stock.
More soon!
(Thanks tipster!)

That’s pretty awesome glad to see a price drop on the No contract price

@Sean It’s not a price drop, Fido will keep theirs at $525 and Rogers will keep theirs at $650. It’s all deception.

The only thing better about the Nexus is the screen and the software. But the Razr will get ICS in a matter of time, so that leaves the screen. However, the Razr has a better camera (8MP to 5MP) as well as better construction, among many other things.

“currently runs OS 2.3, but Motorola has promised to bring the OS 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade sometime early 2012″
Motorola also said they would update the xt720 when it first came out. Later in the year, they only offered updates in a few countries, not the U.S. or Canada.
Motorola lies…

RAZR’s camera licks balls. Despite the MP difference, I dunno if I’d consider it better than the Nexus’ camera.
