Here’s a good sign for those wanted to possibly score the world’s first quad-core tablet. Staples has post the always popular “coming soon” stamp on the ASUS Transformer Prime. This is a 10.1-inch tablet that runs Android Honeycomb, but is upgradable to Android OS 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, only 8.3mm-thin, Wi-Fi, 1GB of RAM, 8-megapixel rear-facing camera that can shoot 1080p videos, and a 1.2-megapixel front-facing camera.
The Prime is being release in the States this December in both “amethyst gray” and “champagne gold” for $499 for a 32GB model, $599 for a 64GB model. Unfortunately for us Canadians it looks like the prices will start at $599. No other details on the Canadian availability.
