Koodo Mobile Samsung Galaxy Ace “coming soon”

Last week we posted a screenshot that showed Koodo Mobile will be bringing on the Samsung Galaxy Ace, an entry level version of the Galaxy S II. Even though Koodo themselves have not announced this Android device, Future Shop has listed it as “coming soon”. As noted earlier, the no-term price point will be $200 outright, so the Tab pricing could very well be $50. In addition, the specs of the Ace are impressive for its price: OS 2.3 Gingerbread, 800 MHz processor, 3.5-inch display, 5 megapixel camera and Wi-Fi.

We’ll have more info soon!
(Thanks tipster!)

  5. Because Canadians aren’t proud of rim. Just like were not happy with Justin bieber… They’re both overpriced and suck!

  6. Not better than the galaxy gio for $80 and/or the LG Quantum which is also $ 80.

    “deal-wise” that is.

  8. Canadians are smart enough to evaluate a phone based on its tech specs and value for the money. Whether a phone is made by a Canadian company or not is irrelevent to most Canadians.

Rim products are not competitive, except for the playbook @ $299. Hopefully that will change but until then, Canadians will take their business elsewhere.

  9. Wow, it’s the same spec than an iPhone 3GS and it’s only 200$. It’s a bit better than a Gio too, because the Canadian version of the Gio was a S5660M and not the S5660.

Wait a month and FS or BestBuy will surely offer it for 99$ or 125$. Good phone for the price.

    • The M only denotes 850/1900 support. There’s really no difference, even the FM radio is still there.

  10. i have this phone because i bought it in asia. would recommend waiting for new galaxy phones (galaxy W- 1.4ghz processor!) because specs are outdated compared to competition (i bought this in March). and it REALLY looks like an iPhone 4 which may be bad for some people.
