Curve 9360 cases start arriving at Fido locations, launch imminent

We’ve known that Fido will be launching the entry-level BlackBerry Curve 9360 for about a month now. This will be a solid low cost device for them. The Curve 9360 is the thinnest BlackBerry yet, runs OS 7 and Fido is expected to price this around $350 outright. Certainly not the biggest news in Canadian wireless, but a good indication of an imminent release is that the cases have started to arrive in stores… so a launch is just around the corner.

(Thanks tipster!)

  1. I don’t get why Fido doesn’t offer the higher end BlackBerries. I emailed them about i.. no response. I had to buy my 9900 off contract cuz of it.

    • It’s because their the value brand below rogers.
Rogers most likely doesn’t want fido grabbing a ton of their customers so Fido only gets the lower end devices. They’re going to always be more focused on their premium brand

  2. It’s a great phone, I’m hoping this will do well. Better than the previous blackberries that have been on fido.

  3. I have a test-version of the curve. It’s quite liquid smooth. The bold is obviously faster and has a touch screen, but the Curve does hold up even as a value phone.

  4. Yeah! with a 3 years mortgage, it’s not an entry-level anymore.

    • Lol why? Blackberry has data compression, It would be a huge difficulty to go anywhere near a Gig even.

  6. I’ve been holding this Nokia 2720 for 3 years now, and it sucks in signal reception and its really slooowww, I dont like Android and I didnt want to buy the Blackberry Curve 3G because I know RIM was building the newer Curve 9360 and Fido is in the lineup of releasing the Curve 9360 as their next new phone release. Dear Fido, please launch it now!!!
