Virgin gives Members looking to upgrade discounts on BlackBerry devices, thanks to TELUS

Recently TELUS discounted the new BlackBerry devices by $50, this was available only to those who sign up for a new 3-year contract. Virgin has also done the same. According to the internal doc from a few days ago it says they will drop the price for those members who are eligible for an upgrade and “claims that Telus is offering a BlackBerry at a lesser price than Virgin Mobile”. So if you fit into those categories you just saved some money. The prices will drop to the following on a 3-year:

BlackBerry Torch 9810: $74.99
BlackBerry Torch 9800: $24.99
BlackBerry Bold 9900: $94.99
BlackBerry Bold 9780: $0

This promo is on until October 5th.
(Thanks tipster!)

  1. Wow, a hidden price match discount based on Telus! Only for upgrades, too. Why doesn’t Bell itself have that price? Anyway, i’m wondering if anyone will upgrade with this deal. It would be interesting to know how many subscribers are Bell and how many are Virgin.

  5. This is just for retention purposes on HUGS that are 3 year (no supertab), and will not be offered for new members. Alternately, we have ISC’s on most BB’s for new members. $100 on 9800 and 9780, so both can be grabbed for $0. 9900 has $70 ISC, so would be $100, and $50 on 9810, for a price of $100.
