The Hockey News mobile app has over 1 million downloads and they are bringing some uniqueness to the game this upcoming season. Polar Mobile and The Hockey News have come together once again and have announced that they’ll create apps for every NHL franchise – so you’ll be able to get specific info on your favourite team – maybe this year the Leafs will come through. The plan is to have them available for the start of the 2011-2012 NHL season for the iPhone, Android and BlackBerry smartphones.
