Fido to release the BlackBerry Curve 9360

You didn’t think Fido would be left out of all the BlackBerry fun did you? They too will be showing the love for the newest BlackBerry OS 7 smartphone, the Curve 9360. There’s no confirmed launch date yet or the prices (most likely around the $350 outright mark), but a clear indication that it’s “coming soon” is that the cases have started to arrive a Fido locations.

We’ll have more info soon!
(Thanks tipster!)

  1. Ha. It’d be funny if it was just the cases. “No, everyone knows we don’t get the good phones. But we have TONS of their cases!”

  2. Just the curve? I think that the new Bold would give Fido a big boost. Especially cuz Virgin has it.

  3. Ever since Rogers bought them, the handset selection has been very restricted. It’s a shame because in terms of plan pricing and service, they’re one of the best.. Or used to be, anyway.

    • Bigger keyboards are the reason why BB’s are awesome. Bigger screens = bad battery life. Now, go play Pokemon on your iToy and quit trolling.

    • @Justin
I’m not sure what’s worse. You enjoying Blackberry or you being a wind fanboy?

  5. Yawn more RIM news. I could fall asleep with all these boring devices on the MS front page as of late.

  7. Dont know why everyone is bashing fido. There handset selection for smartphones has expanded quite a bit lately. But I do agree that giving Fido the new bold would have been a much better move. Fido has some decently high end smartphones so why not a high end blackberry?

  8. I’m just dying to sign a 3 years contract just to get this BB. Thanks to Fido, after 3 years with all extra fee, it’s only cost me like $1500 bucks which worth every penny.

  9. Rim won’t give fido anything but the blackberry curve since they’re a discount brand. Blame them not fido or rogers. It sucks but nothing anyone can do

  10. Talked with a Fido sales rep and was told the accessories have been returned to the headquarters… does that mean no Curve 9360 any more?

  11. This news is really old now so will Fido ever release any BB7 phones? Or shall customers pack up and head over to Virgin or Koodoo? They too are semi-discounted mobile providers that don’t restrict calling zones, like Wind and Mobilicity, but they seem to get amazing new phones. They have also sharpened their pencils and have very good rate plans now. Not sure what Fido is thinking anymore?
