In March Videotron announced they would “begin offering its first HSPA+ smartphone and an Internet key with a maximum speed of 42 mbps in spring 2011″… although there has been a bit of a delay, the Huawei E372 internet stick is available for $59.95 on a “reduced price” or $195.95 no-term. This is being called the “Ultimate Speed Mobile Internet Key” and to use it you’ll need to get the “Ultimate Speed Mobile Internet Combo”, this starts at $55.95.

Too bad their plans are crap if you don’t bundle. It sucks they bought all the AWS spectrum in Quebec. Because of that, we don’t get Wind or Mobilcity, so we just get another big 3 wannabe with no iPhone. :S

They didn’t buy it all. Rogers, Bell and Telus all bought AWS spectrum too in Quebec.

tell me if I am wrong on this,
42Mbps means speed is faster; faster means data usage is higher; higher usage means more overages.

If you’re a subscriber to one of their high speed cable internet packages, then the 1gb Ultimate Mobile Internet plan is #12.00.

At full speed, you’ll blow through 1GB in 190 seconds or just over 3 minutes. $3.79/minute. What a deal!

Never buy wireless from companies that also sell home internet and home phone. The last thing these companies want is for you to cut the cord.

I’m not surprised by the rage of some people versus my compagny but you’ll all be amazed by Videotron in a few months. They will announced something that’ll change the way people see mobile internet. I can’t say much because I dont want to loose my job, but trust me, it’ll kick a*s.
