Acer Iconia Tab A500 upgrade to OS 3.1 starts rolling out to Canadians

The Acer Iconica 10-inch tablet (A500) launched last month with Android OS 3.0 Honeycomb but like other countries, Canadians are reporting that an upgrade to OS 3.1 has started to roll out. This update brings better battery life, resizable widgets, improved multitasking, increased responsiveness and an increase in overall performance. If you have not yet been notified then check settings > about > check for updates.

    Everyone who has the Xoom go and facebook spam them about how upset we are about the updates. The more we get , hopefully the more we will listen.

    I agree with Mikey C.
    Start a forum on somewhere like XDA and start a page on facebook and post on the Motorola sites. You will get through to them. Look at the bootloader situation on the Atrix, and of course the death of Moto Blur….all because they finally listened to the people WHO BUY THEIR DEVICES!

    I heard that they stopped rolling out the update temporarily. I’m stuck on 3.0.1! Damn it Acer!

    Since long I udated it to 3.1 and all was fine until two days ago when I started having wifi connectivity problem where the goes into infinite loop of – Scanning / Obtaining IP and never gets connected… with the help of google I found out that it is the problem with new update and the solution was to reset your device which I did and it worked for one day and now again I’m having same problem and even with reset it is not re-solved…

    Hope #Acer #Google people are reading this so that they can fix it or else I have to find a way to get back to HoneyComb 3 where it was absolutely fine…

    So be warned before you update…

      @sajjad Acer has released a patch to fix this prb. You can go to ACER website support and download that patch
