SaskTel to release the Samsung Galaxy 550 for $249.99

So it’s not the Android-powered Samsung Galaxy S II or the HTC Wildfire, but the Samsung Galaxy 550 is “coming soon” to SaskTel. This low-cost Android will be available for $249.99 outright and range all the way to $29.99 on a 3-year. This is a little behind the times when it comes to Android as it comes with OS 2.1, but does have a 2.8-inch display and Wi-Fi… bottom line is that more Android are coming to Canada.

  4. Sasktel gives away the Galaxy S for $0 on a three year…why would anyone pick up this for $30 with the same length of contract.

  5. Android 2.1 on this seems strategic. Cheap 4g but no hotspot native. For us tablet users this could have been a great buy out option but, men.. not worth the head ache of hoping a new rom comes out with 2.2 or to use 3rd party tether.
