Most Canadian carriers activated the Personal Hotspot feature when it went live with the iOS 4.3 upgrade back in March. TELUS’ sub-brand Koodo Mobile was holding out for some reason (odd as all of their Android devices have a Hotspot features build-in)… but 3 months later it now seems that Koodo has flipped the switch and enabled this for their customers.
If you brought an iPhone over to Koodo you can check to see if it arrived for you via Settings > General > About.

Kind of weird they’re giving it any support considering they don’t even sell micro-sim cards.

Just read through a bit of the forums related to people using the iPhone on koodo. Sounded like a bit of a hassle, cutting a sim card to fit, manually changing apn.. But suddenly koodo creates a carrier file for iOS with all data, mms, tethering options. Maybe they’re going to be supporting it officially soon?

Are you sure about that? Their website still shows that they do not:

Are you sure about that? It’s at odds with the Koodo web site –

That’s odd – when I made my response to Harry’s post re Koodo supporting Mico SIMs, Mike’s response (which is similar to mine and would make mine redundant) was not there. Yet, his response shows a significantly earlier creation time. Firefox caching issue?
