Score Media, makers of the ScoreMobile app, have purchased one of their competitor apps for an undisclosed amount of money. Score says their acquisition of SportsTap will operate separately but will make them the 3rd largest sports app (in terms of audience reach) right behind ESPN and Yahoo! and now have over 3 million monthly users. Both apps are free and are available on the iPhone, Android and make their money by in-app ads.
