MTS reported their Q1 2011 results this morning and they now have a total of 483,722 wireless subscribers (up 5.3% from last year). On March 31st MTS launched their new “4G” network that offered customers faster speeds and newer devices such as the BlackBerry Bold 9780 and the iPhone 4. In addition, MTS reported that their Average Revenue Per User (ARPU) in Q1 was $56.73 (increase of 3.6%) because of data revenue. MTS wireless revenues for the quarter was $84 million (up 9.7% from last year).

Is it just me, or does this look like a refurbished old Bell store? Remember when Bell had the blue and yellow logo, colors and stores?

That store I think is located in The Brandon Shoppers Mall and has never been a Bell Store.

When MTS build the store in the photo, MTS was still partnered with Bell, and Bell owned 10% of MTS, MTS got alot of inspiration from Bell back then, including store design. It’s incredibly outdated and ugly, and the “pick-a-number” system makes you think that MTS is still ran by the government
