Best Buy “Free Phone Fridays” will see Bold 9780 hit $0 on 3-year

The Best Buy Mobile “Free Phones Friday” has been revealed. An email went out to Reward Zone Members that the February 18th deal is that the BlackBerry Bold 9780 from Rogers, Bell, TELUS and Virgin will all be priced down to $0.00 on a 3-year. In addition, not much of a discount but Koodo has also jumped into the deal by reducing the price of the BlackBerry Curve to $0.00 (on the Tab). Good deals if you’re into signing a 3-year contract

    • Gotta love all the Wind Mobile fanboys that come here. Seriously, Wind is garbage. Chat-r is garbage. Everything zone related…you guessed it, is garbage. People, wake up and smell the roses; your getting a phone that is top of the line and as such, your going to pay for it. Stop whining about being in a contract and just man/woman up and pony up the dough. If you live in Quebec, its even better now thanks to law 60, which essentially renders contracts to tabs (similar to Koodo).

Id rather have unlimited evenings and weekends and actually be able to leave the downtown core of my city than be stuck with garbage carriers (illegitimate in some cases) like Wind, Public, Chat-r, Mobilcity, etc. Bottom line, if you cant afford to pay 50 bucks a month for a smart phone and cant stand having minutes, use a pay phone and get a job. Stop the whining.

Im just fed up of hearing the complaining on these comment boards. NUT UP OR SHUT UP. I know im gonna get flamed, but i am seriously content paying what i pay per month because im not cheap.

  3. Maybe a total cost of $2800 or $3600 but it would be the same for me maybe even more as I spend more than half of my time outside my Zone with Wind or Chat-R let me know when there is True Unlimited!!

    • Might be a defensive i***t, but i work in the industry and i know garbage plans when i see them. Having to leave your phone at home because you cant leave the zone without incurring extra fees…is garbage. Just like the service you get, just like the coverage you get and just like the phones you get.

And big whoop, a few of these companies have Blackberrys or other smartphones but the best selection and the most current devices are owned by the big 3…for a good reason: These small carriers are garbage and wouldnt do any of these phones justice.

      Theres no justification needed bro.

  5. While that may be true if you had Rogers/fido unl Canada wide for 50 bucks. But guess what every company Has a local calling area aka zones, leave this area and pay 0.35 to 0.40 cents a min for long distance with either Rogers or bell. And majority of people don’t have long distance add ons. So they get dinged once they leave their local calling area.

  6. Lol @Tom
I’m in the industry and know a lot about plans… So I’m gonna talk about home zones and handset options to prove my point about this knowledge. I’m not a troll!

    Lol… Fail

  8. For most people out there its all about the free latest phone and worry about the bill later like me. I got my Torch for 150 at best buy when Rogers were selling it for 229. So you guys aren’t the only ones who get ripped off. And Tom I partially agree with you, if you can’t pay for the bills then simply don’t get it or stick with pay as you and buy out the phone you want. Easy as 1, 2, 3.

    • If getting crippled software and paying large bills for less service make you feel MORE important, then by all means go for it.
      U da man!
