Public Mobile launching BOGO Valentine’s Day promo

Public Mobile is feeling the love this Valentine’s Day. They will be releasing a BOGO offer starting on February 11th that when you purchase any Public device you can get the ZTE C70 free (usually $55). There are a few stipulations as you have to be a new customer and must pay for the first month a service on each device (plans are either $24 month or $35 per month). The promo will go until February 14th.

  1. Why would anyone go with these guys?
    Specially now that we know they put their efforts into nasty tricks to fight competition instead of improving their service or ridiculous pricing…
    Even Rogers isn’t that low!

John, It is obvious you did not get the deal behind public’s actions, they never asked for Wind to be shut down, they rather asked for clarity on foreign ownership rules as Wind did not comply to the rules but yet got the go to operate. I think the reason why Public is doing that is that they may need more capital and it is hard to find in Canada, with clarity they can approach potential bankers with a solid business plan and get cash from foreign countries. At least this is what i underastand when i read the all the documents…. the challenge for Wind is if the goverment does not change the laws, they will need to replace Orascom with RBC or TD Bank and that is unlikely to happen…. am i wrong ?

    Public, you should have learned that those who live in glass houses shouldn’t cast stones. Pretty soon it’ll be the Canadian government breathing down your neck. Won’t that be fun?

  10. I think Public Mobile is pretty expensive compare to Wind. They are charging 35$ / Month and NO DATA, NO VOICEMAIL, NO CANADA WIDE CALLING included.
