The Nike+ GPS iPhone app gives you the ability to track your runs, record your pace distance, routes and get voice feedback of how you’re doing while running. A few months back they updated the app to include a feature called “Cheer Me On” that integrates Facebook and asks your friends to to give you motivation while on the go. The app costs $1.99 and requires iOS 4.0 or later.
More additions have been made as the app has just been updated to version 3.0.1. The upgrade includes bug fixes but more importantly they have rolled out “Nike+ Tag”… basically playing a game of “tag” and challenging others against time or distance. Whoever comes in last place is IT and Nike states that “If you’re IT, your frenemies can talk trash on your home screen” and the only way not to be IT is to start a new game.
